Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our donors, our storage space (small as it is!) is at capacity. At this time, we are unable to accept used clothing. Also, for health and safety reasons, we do not accept used stuffed animals.
To make a donation, contact Ursula Krubnik at ukrubnik@womens-habitat.ca or call 416-252-7949 x 230.
Hold A Food Drive
At Women's Habitat, we work with women who live in poverty every day. Often, by the end of the month, there is no more money for groceries. We have a small food bank at our outreach location that we use for our clients.
You can help us by collecting non-perishable food items such as:
- Peanut Butter
- Baby Formula and Food
- Canned Fruits or Vegetables
- Canned Fish or Meat
- Dried Pasta and Tomato Sauce
- Diapers/Diaper Wipes
- Rice
- Lentils
- Cans of Soup or Hearty Stew
- Cans of Beans
- Macaroni and Cheese
Host a Third Party Event
Third Party Events are a great way to raise money and public awareness of our services.
You can hold a fundraising event at work, school or in your community and donate the proceeds to Women's Habitat. Here are some ideas to get you started and the Third Party Agreement
- A sports event or concert where the gate proceeds are donated to Women's Habitat
- An international pot-luck dinner, serving food from different countries
- A raffle of donated prizes such as a lavish cake or a travel voucher
- A garden party or outdoor fair combining music, food, games and entertainment
- A sale of local art, donated antiques or second-hand books
- A yard sale, bag sale or white elephant sale
- An event in which the participant is sponsored to walk, run, ride, skate, swim or even bowl in aid of Women's Habitat
